NAME = Lauren and Teddy

We were a little apprehensive to try dog training classes at first, having been told our lakeland fox terrier cross would be extremely hard to train, however the classes have been amazing. Teddy now walks nicely next to me on the lead and always comes back when called. He also loves the agility which is something we would never have thought to try before! The trainers are really helpful and always willing to give advice and tips. Every session is fun and everyone's welcoming - we're all in the same boat! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to train their dog or anyone who just wants to do something fun with their dog!

NAME - Linda and Sparky

I came along last Wednesday evening with my GSD, Sparky, and although overwhelmed with the class I must say that I feel empowered to train her now.  The ethos of taking the dog out to train rather than a walk has certainly changed my outlook.  Having the coping strategy of instructing her to sit instead of trying to pass people/dogs as quickly as possible is working too.  I don’t think about being embarrassed; I think I have a responsibility to train this dog.

Your trainer Kat was wonderful and seeing her handle my dog with such ease and expertise as made me think I can do this too if I listen!

COMMENT = We took our rescue white GSD with us to the anti social classes. It was fantastically helpful and so nice to be in an environment where people understood the difficulty we were in. The advice we received at the class is something we still use on a day to day basis. We are now planning to take our puppy to the puppy classes. The compliment is made even stronger when I tell you that we travel from Colchester to attend this class because of the faith we have in the trainers. Give it a go!

NAME = Sue Crawford

COMMENT = On his morning walk today, Kai our German Shepherd/Alaskan Malamute cross played with a Pyrenean Mountain Dog that only 2 months ago he would growl and lunge at every time she came within a few feet of him. He stood very nicely just giving the "pleased to meet you" sniff over when a group of dogs came over to say "hello", even when the Staffordshire Bull Terrier came up to me and asked to be petted.

Four months ago I went to the DTCE for the first time with a dog I couldn't handle, who was aggressive towards other dogs, and occasionally towards people. I didn't see any way of changing the situation. After a few months in the antisocial class, Kai has been promoted to Class 2 obedience & agility and socialisation walks, and we are both thoroughly enjoying his training.

Whilst his behaviour is not yet perfect 100% of the time, he is so much better, and I am far more confident of my ability to handle him and what action to take in troublesome situations.

I just want to say a really big "Thank you" to Andy, and all the team who have worked with Kai for such a positive improvement in our lives, and let you know that I happily recommend you to lots of dog owners that I talk to.

NAME = lorna & Olly

We had previously taken our Border Collie to training elsewhere but was getting slightly bored, therefore was recommended to go to Andy, within one session our dog Wulffie is hardly pulling on the lead, after the training session, we took on board all what Andy had said and put this into practise, when walking him on our own and it has worked wonders.

Will carry on the training here to make more progress with Wulffie.

Thank you

NAME = CHRISTINE

My mum took me to this place last Monday because I can be naughty out on lead and Bark and growl at other dogs and sometimes people too and for some reason my mum don’t like it! I was made to walk among loads and loads of other dogs and we all had something on our face so we couldn't bite or hurt each other, but could still have a good bark and/or growl if we wanted too. I was really nervous at first and wanted to go home, but as the evening wore on I started to feel a bit better and doing lots of different things was really good, I think mum called it Agility. I know Mum is really looking forward to going again next week, but I think if she keeps it up I will have to start being good all the time, so not sure yet if I want to go again or not!

NAME = Kerri and Mac

Me and my dog went too the Tuesday morning dog class. It was the first time mac had been off his lead he had a great time running with all the other dogs and enjoyed watching him have a great time. Andy seems very in control and knows what his talking about.Mac is a beagle so he really hates being told what too do but I feel if keep turning up every Tuesday things will be for the better. thanks Andy .

NAME = Alan & Buddy

COMMENT =
I have been attending puppy classes with my JRT Buddy since he was allowed out after his jabs. I cannot praise the trainers enough for the help and advice they have given me. Andy has always got time to answer any questions you might have, as do the others. Bud loves the games that Tracey teaches him. Buddy is doing so well following commands most of the time. I really only wanted him to walk without pulling and come when called, which he is now pretty good at, but apart from that he has learnt loads more. He loves agility and scent work. I take what he learns away with me and continue to work with him at home and out in the fields. He is turning out to be such an obedient little guy most of the time, which a lot of peeps advised wouldn’t happen. Glad I didn’t listen to them, he is now going to start in class 2. Thanks again guys, and also not forgetting how friendly all the other owners are that attend classes. I have recommended DTCE to lots of others.

NAME = Elliott & Milo

Milo loves coming every single week :).
I’ve been taking Milo right from day dot and thanks to this i have a very very sociable fun German Shepard. He’s now 7 months old and is still doing his training every week without fail.

Its fun for me to go as i see other people and dogs and we can all talk about our doggy problems.

D.T.C.E are outstanding with all the staff and trainers there to help with any small problem - thanks guys see you soon :)

Name - GILLIAN AND FEARGAL

I would just like to thank Andy and all members of our class on Thursdays who are helping to turn me from a panic ridden anxious owner into a chilled happy one. My border terrier is becoming a joy to be with as a result.

I have tried a few trainers and have left classes in tears - but due to support and encouragement
from Andy and also other class members we are getting there.

Its true what they say....Calm consistent owner makes for Happy obedient dog..
Thanks again

COMMENT = very nice people, very nice trainers with various methods! Not just the one rule trainers! Everyone is so friendly. My puppy loves his training and i love coming to training. Very very helpful! Thank you so much!

Name = Jun & Lexi

Comment - I attended your class 1 with my 8 months old yellow Labrador Lexi on Sunday. I just want to say a big thank you to you and your team! I followed your instruction on Monday and immediately I saw the results! She stopped pulling and heeled with me. It was just amazing and almost unreal!

I will carry on training her using your instruction and hopefully very soon she would reach class 2 level!

Thank you so much for the valuable lesson and thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills!

NAME = Lynn & Vic

COMMENT = I would like to thank you all for the help we are receiving with training Missy and Scar.  It is making such a difference and we are starting to enjoy our dogs again.  The support you give to the dog owners goes a long way in boosting your confidence; it would be easy to give up without this.

NAME = Darren, Amanda, Mia and of course Bella

COMMENT = We have been really please with the puppy training classes and it is definitely making a difference to our very large puppy, Bella!  She is taking on board what she is learning and no longer pulls us around the block when we walk her!  What we also find effective is that you focus on areas that we identify as problematic especially the walking to heel and jumping.

It's a great class and the whole family have really valued your input.

NAME = Sarah - Missy & Bobby

COMMENT = I would like to say a great big thank you to Andy and Kat for showing me how to take control of my dogs.  I have two powerful bread dogs, who became a little out of control to say the least and even became anti social towards each other!  Even though these dogs were more than a handful, Andy and Kat always made me feel welcome at the classes and showed me the correct steps to take to make my dogs re-habilitated.  Six months down the line and the results have been amazing - missy and bobby who originally had to be kept apart because of their fighting, are now spending more and more supervised time together.  They still live apart and missy who used to have a problem with any dog who came whithin her path is now a very well socialised and obedient dog who has her own little pack of friends who she plays with at her local field, and Bobby who is still a work in progress walks very well on a lead now and has gained enough trust from us to let him of his lead when being walked with missy in the evenings when there are no other dogs around!

NAME = david reynolds

COMMENT = wow, what a job he did on our puppy, he is 7 months old and he is an american akita, very well behaved but a bit head strong, andy sorted him out in 10 minutes, corrected his pulling when walking, showed us things to do to stop him trying to dominate,and gave us loads of tips for the future.a very proffessional and personable service,great value and well worth the experience.well done and many thanks

Charlie and Millie

DTCE classes are different to other dog training classes that we have attended because they are friendly and fun!  The trainers are patient and give excellent advice and positive feedback

We’ve got two dogs with ‘attitude’ towards other dogs and never thought we would see them  start to play off the lead with other dogs with the same issues.  Our favourite class is Saturday afternoon in the park - We feel like ‘normal’ dog walkers who can go out with a group of other people and their dogs.

Our dogs aren’t perfect, but with the help of Andy, Kat and Tracey we are learning how to control them, understand their behaviour and be more confident ourselves around dogs.

NAME = Karen & Sally

COMMENT = we have only been coming to puppy classes for 3 weeks and already the improvement in Polly is clear to see, Andy Kat and Tracey Thank you!

NAME = Chaz & Dave

COMMENT = Still got a way to go but we can now walk the dogs in daylight when other people are about! Great achievement, Saturday walk is very enjoyable. Brilliant training centre would recommend it.

NAME = Kim & Kia

COMMENT = I was very worried about taking Kia dog training due to her behaviour but going to the Monday classes is the best decision I have made. The progress Kia has made has been amazing after 2 weeks. The trainers are very friendly, understanding and are extremely passionate about dogs. Thank you guys!!!

NAME = Linda

COMMENT = Just wanted to say glad I found your site as I have had people ask me where they can take their dogs for training when a standard class won't take them.

Sadly Beauty was bitten quite badly a fortnight ago, I would like to see that dog come under your care for a while!

Meanwhile Fred is receiving comments such as 'I can't train my terrier as he's not placid like yours' and 'he's got a really good temperament unlike my terrier'.

Keep up the good work!

COMMENT = I just want to take to opportunity to say thank you really. I used to attend a Monday night class with my x breed because he was extremely anti social with both people and other dogs (and pretty much anything else that would stand in his way!)

I found the class informative, relaxed and a nice happy atmosphere. The instructor who took my class was brilliant and with his help I learnt to handle my dog properly and teach him to socialise and I have to say it made such a difference to both my quality of life and my dog. We no longer had to go out at midnight or hide in any bushes or walk the long way round to avoid anything that might have moved! I don’t even use a muzzle anymore and I can let him enjoy playing instead of worrying that he might attack!

I was saddened to learn that these successful classes were stopped at the Brentwood training ground as I know of people that had the same experience that I did with my dog and now also are able to enjoy their dogs company because of the valuable help we received.

However I am pleased to hear that these classes still run and I would not ever hesitate to recommend anyone who has problems with their pet. I am also pleased to hear of the 2 additional trainers that are part of DTCE as I have found them knowledgeable and friendly.

Anyway I only wanted to say thank you as if it wasn’t for this class then I would never have known what a lovely and playful dog I actually have.
